Isaac Chinitz

Dr. Isaac Chinitz is the Director of Clinical Orthodontics and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dental Medicine at the Touro College of Dental Medicine (TCDM). In his current role at TCDM, he instructs third and fourth year dental students on Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics at Touro Dental Health, the college’s 115-chair dental training facility. In addition to his current teaching responsibilities, Dr. Chinitz works in private orthodontic practices in Rye and Purchase, New York. 

While in residency at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Chinitz worked as an Orthodontic Teaching Assistant, instructing and lecturing students in addition to teaching them how to evaluate orthodontic needs on patients in the college’s pediatric clinic. He also performed extensive orthodontic and periodontal research, performing a study on the predictive success of incisor position by the pre-treatment occlusogram analysis. Dr. Chinitz went on to receive his M.S. in Biomedical Sciences from Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, and his Master’s thesis, “Orthodontics in Multidisciplinary Treatment Planning,” focused on understanding how Orthodontics is incorporated by general dentists into their comprehensive treatment plans. Over the course of his career, Dr. Chinitz has taken a number of continuing education courses focusing on orthodontic treatment. He is licensed to practice in the state of New York.
