Dr. Edward Farkas is Vice Dean & Chairman of Dentistry at Touro College of Dental Medicine at New York Medical College where he has was instrumental in the creation and development of the TouroCDM program, its initial accreditation by the Commission on Dental Accreditation, and the college’s brand new Clinical Training Facility that is scheduled to open in January, 2018. He has been Professor of Dental Medicine at TouroCDM since 2015.
Prior to his current academic responsibilities, Dr. Farkas was Special Assistant to the Chancellor at New York Medical College and Special Assistant to the President of Touro College. He currently maintains practices in emergency dental medicine in an underserved community in Fallsburg, N.Y., as well as a private practice in Brooklyn, N.Y. he was an attending dentist at Bedford Medical Group, an Article 28 Clinic in Brooklyn, from 1987-1991.
Dr. Farkas graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Brooklyn College in 1981, and earned a DDS in Dentistry from New York University College of Dentistry in 1985. He is currently pursuing a MA in Dental Education from the University of the Pacific/Bernerd School of Education.
