Dr. Farkas graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Brooklyn College in 1981, and earned a DDS in Dentistry from New York University College of Dentistry in 1985. He also holds an Masters Degree in Dental Education from the University of the Pacific/Bernerd School of Education.
Dr. Edward Farkas is Vice Dean at Touro College of Dental Medicine at New York Medical College where he has was instrumental in the creation and development of the TCDM program, its initial accreditation by the Commission on Dental Accreditation, and the college’s state-of-the-art clinical training facility. He has been Professor of Dental Medicine at TCDM since 2015.
Prior to his current leadership role, Dr. Farkas was Special Assistant to the Chancellor at New York Medical College and Special Assistant to the President of the Touro College & University System. He currently maintains a successful private practice in Brooklyn, N.Y. and previously managed a private practice in emergency dental medicine for an underserved community in Fallsburg, N.Y. Dr. Farkas was an attending dentist at Bedford Medical Group, an Article 28 Clinic in Brooklyn, from 1987-1991.
