More Americans have dental insurance than ever before, but they may not be using their coverage to the fullest extent possible.
According to the National Association of Dental Plans, 77% of the population had some sort of dental coverage at the end of 2016. That’s a great first step toward better oral health, but only if people with insurance are actually using it to cover regular dental hygiene examinations, cleanings and X-rays.
