The Touro Dental Health Treatment Center is home to the finest trained dental students and professional faculty with access to state-of-the-art equipment. Fourth year students lead your care with our professional faculty checking their work at every step. This collaboration between student and teacher allows us to keep prices 20-50% lower than private dentists in Westchester.
Initial Examination:
Our patients start with a thorough exam that checks gum health, tooth stability, reviews of all medications currently being taken, a blood pressure check, and an oral cancer screening.
Cleanings and Deep Cleanings:
Cleanings are recommended every 6 months to maintain optimal oral health and to monitor any continuing issues a patient may have. We’ve seen a number of patients who need deeper cleanings as they have not seen a hygienist during the COVID-19 pandemic and have substantial plaque buildup.
Fillings:
Whether a new issue, or older fillings that need to be removed and refilled, fillings are an ideal line of protection to halt tooth decay before it leads to deeper, and more expensive treatments.
Pediatric Care:
Our child-friendly preventative care is provided in our new Touro Dental Health Kids treatment center. Children are treated and taught how to maintain healthy teeth and gums by our warm and caring staff and students.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Veneers, bonding and tooth whitening provide patients with an ideal smile and confidence. Porcelain veneers are the most commonly used cosmetic procedure for smile makeovers and are used to mask imperfections like stains and discoloration; chipped, broken, cracked, misshapen, uneven, crooked, small and gapped teeth alike can all be improved with porcelain veneers.
Tooth whitening can be used to lighten stains from common items like coffee and red wine. Professional treatment is faster and easier than home treatments that can take weeks.
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery:
Our staff of surgeons help patients navigate extractions (like wisdom teeth) as well as diagnosing and treating facial pain caused by TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint) and other conditions.
Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology:
With oral cancer on the rise, our clinicians can diagnose and treat patients with oral lesions and conditions.
Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology:
Production and interpretation of radiographic images, including 3-D CBCT imaging is done on premises here at Touro College of Dental Medicine.
Endodontics:
Endodontic treatment, or root canal treatment, treats the soft pulp and tissue inside the tooth. Our endodontists provide root canals aided by the highest technology equipment available.
Periodontics:
Periodontists focus exclusively on the inflammatory diseases that destroy the gums and other supporting structures around the teeth. Gum grafting and periodontal maintenance are key to maintaining oral health for some of our patients.
Orthodontics:
Our Complex Care Center provides a full range of orthodontic treatment for children, teens and adults, including braces and Invisalign.
Dentistry with Sedation:
36-48% of the American population suffers from anxiety about dentistry. We can help our patients with sedation techniques so they can get the care they need to maintain ideal oral health
Insurance and payment information:
Touro Dental Health accepts cash, checks, all major credit cards, most insurance plans (subject to deductibles and copayments, and certain guidelines) and New York State Medicaid Managed Care Dental Plans. It is each patient’s responsibility to know his/ her dental insurance benefits, please check with your employer or insurance plan with questions about coverage.
We look forward to treating you and keeping you in top oral health.
