Dr. Larry Farkas is the Assistant Director of Preclinical Education, Director of the Curriculum and Technology Management and an Associate Professor of Dentistry at the Touro College of Dental Medicine (TCDM). Together with the Director of Preclinical Education, he ensures the students’ of TCDM receive instruction in the foundational knowledge required to progress to the clinic to gain clinical competence. In his role as the Director of the Curriculum and Technology Management, Dr. Farkas oversees the implementation and use of all technologies that propel TCDM into the future of higher education. These technologies include computerized examinations and assessment, learning management systems such as Canvas, and video lectures and demonstrations. Dr. Farkas is also involved with preparing fourth year students to challenge and pass licensing exams such as the CDCA and WREB examinations.

Dr. Farkas joined TCDM during the initial accreditation effort in early 2015, and has been instrumental in establishing, scheduling and guiding the initial curriculum and technology of the college. Prior to this, he had a General and Cosmetic Dental Practice in Manhattan, New York and taught preclinical dental students at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Farkas is licensed to practice in the states of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
