Down syndrome is one of the most common and recognizable of the developmental disabilities. With its growing prevalence in the United States and worldwide, it is a syndrome with which the dentists of today and tomorrow will have to be able to competently and compassionately address. The goal of this presentation is to introduce and characterize the Down syndrome population and present the challenges and opportunities that dentists will face in their care.

Tobacco use is associated with many negative health and oral effects. This program will explore various methods to assist and motivate patients to quit smoking and improve their health statuses.
